Past

Long before Narkissos was born the nations of Casyrias and Virannova was engaged in constant disagreements. The reason for their endless headbutting boiled down to the simple fact they were different from each other as night was from day. The people of Casyrias--referred as Scientist--lived in a society shaped by, as might be guessed, science. While those from Virannova lived in a society shaped by magic and, as might be guessed, are referred as Magic-user. They thought the other foolish for the manner they decided to shape their society, and it was this that was the bases of many of their conflicts. These disagreements raged for so long and with such intensity that it became clear that if something wasn't done that the world would be destroyed.

Yet, everything they tried did nothing to soothe the rage they felt towards each other. Than one day the people of Virannova decided to build a wall that separated Casyrias and Virannova from each other. They realized that this wall would not stand forever, but they hoped that the fire of hatred that burned between their people and those of Casyrias would have diminished enough that peace would be possible when the wall came down. They knew they had to build this wall quickly before those whom would protest its construction would do everything within their power to stop it, and even succeed in the attempt. The wall was constructed so quickly that some Scientist ended stuck in Virannova and some Magic-User became trapped in Casyrias. Those whom built the wall knew this was going to happen, but they thought people being trapped on the wrong side of the wall was preferable to the world being destroyed.

Those on the wrong side of the wall attempted to make the best of the situation, but the magic-users stuck on Casyrias' side found this easier said than done. They were repressed and down right treated horribly. Some thought they should integrate with the rest of Casyrias' society---even giving up their magic in the process. They thought if they did that their mistreatment would end. Others did not agree. They believed that they needed to band together, and create communities away from the scientists. Neither method stopped them from being mistreated. Eventually, some of  the witches as the magic-users whom became trapped on Casyrias side of the wall came to be called decided that the only way to stop the abuse was to overthrow the government of Casyrias. They banded together and form organizations whom sole purpose was to do just this.

These organizations tried different methods to achieve their goals. One of these methods had female witches seducing male scientist until they pregnant. They would leave to give birth to their children, and send them to their fathers later down the line with a bomb implanted inside of them. When the father goes to pick their newborn up the bomb inside the baby goes off killing the father, the baby and anyone caught within the radius of the bomb. Narkissos mother had been one of the female witches sent on this mission, and his father was the scientist she seduced. His father discovered her intention, and decided that was a fate he was not going to have for his unborn child. He decided that he was going to lock her away until she gave birth to his child, and than raise his child away from the influence of organization that Narkissos' mother belonged to. His father even thought he could help heal his mother's damaged mind.

Not surprising, his mother wanted nothing to do with his plan. She claimed that her unborn child wasn't going to be a bomb--that he had a far greater purpose. Narkissos' father tried to get this purpose out of her, but she only told him not to worry about it, and that he will come to understand when the time was right. Eventually, his mother found a way to escape his father and returned back to the organization whom had sent her on the mission to have Narkissos in the first place. She made it clear that she was not going to use her unborn child as a bomb, which was fine with the organization. Those whom decided to do this mission had volunteered for, and they had no intention of forcing anyone to carry any part of the plan. Besides, they were certain Narkissos could serve them in other ways.

Narkissos was born not long after his mother returned to the organization. It became clear that her feelings for her son was not typically of a mother. She regarded him more like her lover than her child. It wasn't long before she started treated him like such. Forcing him to satisfy her. This was not the only abuse he had to endure. He was forced to endure gruesome training regimen, and horrible test that many of the other children within the organization didn't have to. They had training regimens and test, but theirs was mild compared to his. The only thing similar about their training was the emphasis their trainers put upon the hatred they were suppose to feel towards the scientist and how it was their ultimate duty to bring them to ruin.

Life wasn't all bad. Narkissos managed to make friends within the organization. One was the daughter of the leader of the organization, whom he had known since both and whom he was extremely close together. The two of them were often found together, at least when Narkissos wasn't being tortured by his mother or that hellish training he had to endure. He even came to spend a lot of time with her father. The man would spend time teaching the two of them old and forgotten magic. Narkissos often found himself daydreaming that something would happen to his mother, and he would come to live with his friend and her father. It was a dream that would never come true.

His dream was not the only one that seem to fall short of its mark. The dream of those whom build the wall that separated Casyrias and Virannova shattered with the action of one woman. Peace was within their grasp. The king of Virannova was traveling to Alspic--the capitol city of Casyrias--to sign a peace treaty. The Scientist had even intended to escort him to Alspic themselves. A plan he quickly vetoed. Instead, he told them that they would escort his son, whom was considered his people's greatest treasure. If his son arrived to Alspic unharmed peace will be had, but if anything happened to his child on the way than there will be war. It was a test that the Scientist thought they were going to pass.

They were soon learn they were mistaken. The leader of the organization that Narkissos belonged to saw to that. He hired an assassin to kill, or at the very least hurt the prince of Virannova. He knew this assassin would not have taken the job if she knew whom the target really was, and so instead he told her that he was the son of the leader of Casyrias. She only discovered after they pulled her off her target's body the truth, but the damage was done. The prince survived the attack, but the Scientist had failed to keep him from harm. War quickly spread across the land when the prince was delivered to his father. It was a cause of celebration for the organization that Narkissos lived among. They believed with the help of  Magic-users from Virannova they would eradicate the Scientist once and for all.

Several years passed, and during this time Narkissos grew increasing closer to the leader's daughter until he found himself being in love with her. It was a feeling that she shared, and the two of them decided they wanted to be together. They quickly decided they wanted to share the news with their parents, and they decided to tell his mother first. They thought she was sensitive, and would become upset if she wasn't told first. They didn't stop to consider that she might be upset for a different reason. Even through the years of abuse that Narkissos had to endure pointed towards this reaction. He had thought that if he brought his soulmate before his mother that her unnatural obsession with him would simply vanish.

He quickly learned how wrong he was. His mother became extremely upset over the news. She tried to convince them that they were misguided for their feelings towards each other, and when that didn't work she tried to convince them that the Narkissos' beloved's father would never approve of the union. They told her that they had already received his blessing. A lie they believed would allow her to accept the affection they felt towards each other. This only caused her to become even more upset. She decided that the leader's daughter had caused a spell over Narkissos that made him believe that she was his soulmate instead of the one whom truly was. She decided that there was only one way to break the spell, and that was to kill it at its source.

She took a knife, stabbing the leader's daughter into the chest, and killing her on the spot. Everything after that moment happened in a blur. One moment he is watching his beloved body falling to the ground. The next he is being dragged away by his mother, whom was freaking out. She was screaming that the leader was going to boil them both alive for what they had done to his beloved daughter. Narkissos tried to tell her that she had been the one whom had killed her, but those words went upon deaf. She told him that they needed to commit suicide. So, they could be together for all time. She claimed that if they were not dead before the leader found them that he would not only boil them alive, but condemn them to an eternity without each other. It sounded more like a blessing to Narkissos than a curse, but his mother rendered any attempt he might have made to find the leader absolute.

She forced him to drink a potion that made him weak and easy to control. Once the potion took affect she dragged him to the top an nearby snowy mountain top, and stripped their closed off. She than laid down upon the ground with him, wrapped his arms around him and made love to him over and over again until the simple process of breathing became impossible. Narkissos thought he was going to die there. Worse yet, he thought he was going to have to spent the rest of time locked within the moment. After all, his people believed that when one commit suicide that are forever locked within the moment of their death. He slipped in and out of consciousness so many times that he lost count. Each time, he thought this was it--the end.

He thought had finally came for him when he saw a pair of boots upon the ground before him. He thought they belonged to the messenger of death, whom came to collect him. He would eventually learn how mistaken he was. The last thing he remembered before slipping into what he believed was his final breath of life was a voice filled with concerned and a warm blanket being wrapped around him. He awoke a few weeks later in a nice warm bed and a man sitting in a chair next to him. He quickly leaped from his bed, demanding to know where he was. The man didn't hesitate to answer his questions. He explained to Narkissos that he was the general of the very people that he had been taught to hate.

Upon hearing this, Narkissos felt the overcoming urge to either try to kill the man or flee from him, but two things stayed his hands. The first was he was simply still too exhausted from what he had to endure upon the mountain top, and the second he couldn't help notice the way this man seemed to regard him. He noticed that this man looked at him with the same devotion that his beloved's father looked at her. He quickly demanded to know why the man looked at him in such a manner, and just like with his other demands the man did not think twice about giving into it. He told Narkissos that he was his father. He told him about the mission that his mother and others female witches of her organization had been sent upon. He told him how he discovered this plan, and how he planned on raising Narkissos away from those whom regarded their own children as nothing more than weapons.

He told Narkissos how he spent all these years looking for him, and that it was only chance he found him upon that mountain top but he knew the very moment he did that he was his son. This information filled Narkissos with mixed feelings, but eventually any positive feelings he had towards the organization he once called home was eradicated. Every horrible experience he had to endure as a child made sense. They viewed him as nothing more than a weapon to achieve their goal. He did not wish to live in a world where they were allowed to rule let alone continue to exist. He decided to join the scientist and fight to destroy every last magic-users--including those within Virannova.

Present

Several years have passed since the day that his father had saved him from death upon that snowy mountain top. He quickly rose through the ranks, and have become one of their better soldiers. More than that he found a family that believes he is more than a weapon. He doesn't just have his father, but his father's adopted daughter, whom was the daughter of the woman whom had tried to assassinated the prince of Virannova, and his cousin, whom is the Chancellor of Casyrias. He has several friends as well, but he knows that his time with them is limited--especially if he succeed in his goal of eradicating every last trace of magic from the world.

After all he is magic, and if he wishes to erases all traces of the evil of magic from the world than he needs to make sure he doesn't escape his own purge. However, he will be the last to go when he is certain that every last trace of the evil of magic is gone. He limits the influence magic has over him, or how much magic he releases into the world by refusing to use his magic. This is easier said than done, and there were times--especially when his life was in peril that his magic lashed out  to defend him. Over the years, he had slowly learned how to control this reaction, but from time to time his training seems to be nonexistent.
